Gauteng North Club League

The Club League standings up to the 10 July 2010 event is now available. Please check on the Results page! Individual standings will be updated soon.

Here are the league arrangements for 2010. This year Clubs and individuals will be awarded league points:

 

For Clubs:

o   1 point for each club member who enters the race

o   Additional points for the first 3 places - 3 to 1 for each category (depending on the number of riders in the category, eg. if only two riders, 1st place gets 2 point and second 1 point)

o   If a Club wishes to present a league race, the club gets 10 points. A Club may present a maximum of two (2) league races in a year

o   Any Club that offers help at league races gets 1 point per helper, to a maximum of 5 points

o   At the end of the year the best three Clubs are awarded Gauteng North trophies

 

For Riders:

o   1 point for each league event participated in

o   Double points for 85km

o   Riders who participated in all league races are awarded additional 5 points

Distances: 26km, 52km and 85km

Entry fee: R50

Depending on the number of entries on the day, categories could be added together.

 

 
The Routes

Two route variations will be used, both anti-clockwise around the Rooiwal circuit. To distinguish between the routes, the 26km and 52km routes will be referred to as “Short” routes and the 85km route as the “Stables” route.

Short route: 1 lap 26km

Start at the Church, right at first T-junction to Bultfontein A/H, left at next T-junction before the Shop, left 90º bend, left at T-junction, pass the army Signal Base and return back to the Church.

Short route: 2 laps 52km

Same as for 1 lap, but after passing the army Signal Base, turn left again at T-junction to Bultfontein A/H and repeat the lap. On the last lap, after passing the army Signal Base, return straight back to the Church.

Stables Route: 2 laps 85km

Start at the Church, right at first T-junction, left at next T-junction, left 90º bend, right at T-junction, immediate left at next T-junction towards stables, turnaround point, right at T-junction, pass the army Signal Base, turn left again at T-junction to Bultfontein A/H and repeat this lap for the second time. On the last lap, after passing the army Signal Base, return straight at back to the Church.
